Skiied the trail system today: entire course is skatable although
it's nccy to hike in a ways past Point "A". Conditions are better
around mid-day when the icy hardpack softens up. We've begun
stringing up the new ski fencing in sun scalded stretches of the
trail, the idea being to shade the base and protect it in hopes of
new snow falls in the next weeks.

All in all, it ain't pretty out there, a lot of trash on the trail,
so you wont see a lot of "leaf peepers and nature buffs on the trail,
but if you want to get your training in, it's definitely better than
rollerskiing! tom
