Despite our extended warm thaw conditions, there is pretty good xc skiing
to be had on the LA Nordic Trails. The blade groomer was run last night
(Jan 7), renovating the surface of the snow enough to edge more easily.
There are still a few "icy" spots, but they're short and the good stuff
more than makes up for it. The classic track grooming is suspended until
we get more snow. The track I set nearly two weeks ago is holding up
well for the most part (two or three spots excepted).

The grooming snowmobile has had problems recently, but Denny Newell and I
ironed out what we think has been the main culprit. We definitely need a
newer, more reliable one.
