Trail Report for Sunday, Feb 20th   Message List

Trail today: Classic on all the woods trails is first rate in spite
of several small snows [each has been skiied in by classic skiers and
the tracks are hard and fairly deep].

Skating lane has 3-4-5" snow in it---don't want to do yr skate
training up there! Most skiers do way too much skate training anyway-
--to be fast in a skate race it's recommended that 60% of yr training
be classic! Here's the chance to address that.

Lower road has fair to poor classic tracks---skate lane is rough but
skateable due to much snowshoe activity on it [be good balance
training for your skate]. Lower and upper meadow is good touring
[that's what me and the dog did today while re-wanding] with great
telemarking on the big south faching slopes! Lots of snow and
drifting on our trail along the North side of the meadow---no place
for a racing ski!
