Clay, Paul and Carl did a nice job of grooming out a big, [ski area
says 7"], wet snowfall that skiied nicely late this afternoon. I was
doing classic [no classic tracks on multi-use parts of the trail] and
the skating looked a little soft, but it should harden up by tomorrow
AM.

Grooming wet snowfalls is much tougher to deal with than dry, cold,
more Winter-like snow, and we owe them big-time for dealing with it
just before their leaving town for another round of races!

More snow coming Sat night into Sunday so it looks like the January
thaw is over [below average temperatures forcast thru middle of next
week].
