Big Changes: New Motor for our Trackster   Message List

Ski season is over, but wanted to post that the club members are
actively at work on the new, to us (1970's era), Cushman Trackster we
bought this Spring--within another week the brand new Honda engine
(2004!) will be installed by club members and we will enter a new and
different era in tracksetting on our Pajarito Trail System.....non-
snomobile grooming with what amounts to a new tracked machine! The
groomies are very excited by the prospect of a vehicle you sit in
rather than on, with a cab and doors, that can turn around in its own
length, and has stump pulling traction and power.

We are also undergoing a transformation of the club---Los Alamos
Nordic Ski Club, an entity since 1983, will become Southwest Nordic
Ski Club, as we re-define ourselves as a regional club for Nordic
skiers and racers.

Look for links to a new website (we'll try to keep this one going for
a couple years so we don't lose you) as the Summer wears on...we have
a lot of new members this season and things look quite positive for
the 2005 ski season.
