Dave Wykoff just called and said he just "finished" with the main brunt
of the packing, including the 2 to 3 inches new over what I had done last
night. He even packed the downhill meadow section, heading onto the
downhill bypass to point O, which makes the system a complete loop now.
I think he missed a couple of spots in the best alignment, but he said
everything was covered well and it shouldn't be a problem -- besides, he
was nervous to go around the trees in a couple of spots, for fear of
submarining like I did last night. He had a bit of a problem on the
Dave's Dogleg hill, but it's easier to save yourself in the trackster.
He says that the conditions are going to be REALLY soft and that he
didn't get around to setting a classic track. Indeed, tomorrow would be
the ideal time to fire up R-2 for another round on the trails, plus
classic track from the meadow to point O on the lower road. Should make
it just about perfect for the weekend.
I forgot to mention that there is about 4 gallons of gas (already
oil-mixed) in the shed, with around a gallon in the Rambo tank. Perfect
amount for a session. All the tools are back in the utility box too.
