Description
Los Alamos Nordic Ski Club was founded as a USSA Junior Racing Team in the 1980's. We've evolved into a citizens' racing and training club and maintain and groom a 10km nordic ski trail for skating and classic above Los Alamos, just North of the Pajarito Alpine Ski Area, and we offer xc ski clinics and races during the year.
We are volunteer xc ski trail groomers as well as nordic skiers, and we work with the U S Forest Service on trail development and maintenance.
Watch this space each season for weekly grooming updates and race and clinic schedules.
You can join the club by going to www.swnordicski.org and pulling down a membership form.
We want to thank all the donors, members and friends who use the trail and help us with our improvement projects, and also Miles Standish, recreation ranger with the United States Forest Service for working with us to provide a quality groomed skating and classic skiing venue for Northern New Mexico.
