The new Mug Run season is here, and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Athletic Association would like to invite you to join us this year as we promote health and wellness throughout the law enforcement community!
 
Below is the LASD bulletin which details the dates and locations for each race.  As always, the general public is welcome to participate in any (or all) of them. 
 
The entry fee is only $20 (!!) and includes an event t-shirt, awards for the top three finishers in each age category, a glass event MUG for every participant who completes any three runs in the series, and all the Monster Energy Drinks you can handle!
 
There will be a 10k course and a 5k course available at each event.  All courses are certified and sanctioned through USATF.
 
Online registration is not yet available due to a delay in the production of the LASAA website, however race-day registration will be available for no additional charge.  If you received this email and plan to attend any of the events, I will gladly pre-register you.  Simply reply to this message with your name, date of birth, contact number, and t-shirt size; I will have your bib ready at the pre-registration table.
 
Law enforcement participants:  ANY Baker to Vegas team or station with the most participants at each run will receive $100 CASH (well, check).  That's $1,200 to be earned between now and March!  Bring your whole team!
 
Race-day registration will begin at 6:30 am; races begin promptly at 8:00 am at each event.

Los Angeles Sheriff's Athletic Association's

MUG RUN

         SERIES        

The Los Angeles Sheriff¢s Athletic Association (L.A.S.A.A.) presents the 2008-2009 Mug Run Series.  Each event will consist of a 10K (6.2 mile) run, and a 5K (3.1 mile) run.  Runners will compete in age group and team divisions, and awards are given to the top three in each division.  Those runners who successfully complete three of these runs will receive a glass mug. 

These events are free to all L.A.S.A.A. members and $20 for non-members.  Race-day registration will be available starting at 6:30am at each event for no additional charge.

STATION CHALLENGE:  The Station or Bureau who has the most participation at each event will receive $100 per run.  This has the potential for a station to win $1,200 just for having the most participation in the Mug Run Series!

Registration begins at 6:30 am, and the races begin promptly at 8:00 am.

THE LOS ANGELES SHERIFF'S ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION PRESENTS THE 2008-2009
MUG RUN SERIES. THESE EVENTS ARE BOTH 10K (6.2 MILE) AND 5K (3.1 MILE)
FOOT RACES HOSTED BY DIFFERENT STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.

MEDALS ARE AWARDED TO THE TOP THREE FINISHERS IN EACH AGE AND TEAM
DIVISION. A GLASS EVENT MUG WILL BE AWARDED TO ANY RUNNER WHO COMPLETES
ANY 3 MUG RUNS IN THE SERIES.
