Here are the teams for Regionals as set by the selectors. Asterisks denote
team captains. If the 'C' division is played as a sectional, there might be
changes to Team 3. Barring any unforeseen lameness or illness, we would
like for the teams to start in these positions. After the first chukka the
team captain should be the one to decide if there needs to be any changes to
the team line-up.

Looks like we are going to have a nice turnout for practice this weekend; please try to come. Ryan Murphy is coming down from Dallas to play with us. Also, if anyone would be willing to come a bit early, we need to load up the bleachers onto Prissy's flatbed and haul them back to Taylor. This will take as many strong big people as we can muster. We might be able to load them up and then haul them after practice? Anyway, I propose that we meet at the field at 3pm to do this.
we need to get the bleachers back to the new sonic in taylor. i was
thinking that we could do it on sat. before/during/after practice. we need
all the strong hands we can get. we need to load them up on trailers then
deliver them to taylor and unload them there. thanks, pris

Several people suggested that I post this on this E-mail because
this is exactly the group of people I'm trying to target! I have for
rent a 1 bedroom house on acreage that I would like to rent to someone
who is horse oriented. If you know of anyone that would fit the bill
please have them call me at home 512-332-0819 or my mobile 512-924-9663.
Thanks
Pam
I am setting practice for Saturday, Sept 18 at 4pm. The weather is supposed to be cooler, but if it gets back up into the mid-nineties, I will suggest that we start practice later that afternoon.
Thanks for responding to me about practice; it looks like the best time to schedule a practice is for Sat evening around 6pm. There is a trail ride scheduled at Flora Tyler's place on FM 969 (Robinson Ranch) for Sunday, starting at around 9am, breaking for lunch and going again. If you are interested in going on the trailride, call or email Kellee or Kiki and they'll get you directions.
Pam, Rachael and Lori were interested in practicing Sunday after church so if anyone wants to practice additionally with them, give them a call.
People who are coming to practice so far: Paul, Stephanie, Ashley, Kari, Kiki, Kellee (?),
just wondering if anyone has gotten any sponsors for the regionals. we're
trying to figure out how much $ we have for the awards. please let me know
asap if you have already gotten some or know that you can.. thanks pris

I will be visiting my sister this weekend but if people want to practice, I propose that practice be set for Sat or Sunday afternoon; the weather is supposed to be cooler (high around 90) so that maybe practice could be set earlier on Sat or after church on Sun. Which would you prefer? please respond and I will set practice by Thursday night.
thanks
Susan
PS please commit to the upcoming tournaments (especially Regionals) ASAP by emailing or calling your selectors (Prissy and Paul) or you can respond to this email and I will forward the message.

Chukka Champs Oct 9-10 at Camp Stewart (Hunt, TX)
Central Zone Regional Championships Oct 16-17 Camp Waldemar (Hunt, Tx)
dear central zone polox players,
we are organizing the central zone regional championships oct 16, 17 in
hunt, texas at camp waldemar. we would like to ask everyone to try to get
at least a $25 donation. we need all information for the program by october
1st. $25 will get a business card size ad. $50 a bigger ad and we're
considering having posters and a banner which would cost more. that is not
confirmed yet but that's a way for businesses that might like to donate $100
or $250 to be recognized. We will use the money to help pay for award and
all proceeds will go to help establish an account for the Texas Polocrosse
Association that will go towards helping promote polocrosse in texas and the
central zone. please start trying to get sponsors for this tournament. we
are all excited about it and want it to be a well-attended success! let me
know if you have any other specific questions. your club presidents should
be receiving information in the mail soon. if you don't, let me know.

Mike Scholes is planning to put on a big demonstration to generate interest
in the Waco area. He's planning to do it on the last weekend of October.
He will be contacting people to put together 2 teams (12 players) to play
each other in a men's game, 2 teams to play each other in a women's game,
and 2 teams of kids to play each other. He wants to show high-class play
and very nice presentation. He's flying an Australian coach over here, and
after the games they will be doing clinic-type things for new or potential
players around Waco. Try to keep that weekend open in case you get invited
to come play, umpire, or help in any way. It would be a good thing for us
to get another group started in that area. Paul Johnson.

Is anyone interested in practicing at 6pm Sat? I know that Dan and Laura won't be coming and Heather will be already moved up to Lubbock. Paul and I don't have the kids, either but if people wanted to chukka a bit, Paul and I can come to the field.
If anyone would like to practice this weekend, please let me know by Thursday; if you do want to practice, please mention the time that suits you best :
Sat pm chukkas starting at 7pm
Sun am chukkas starting at 7:30am
If Dan and Laura are coming, we could always camp out and do both, I suppose.
It is very hot so I will schedule a practice only if people really want it, so please let me know your sentiments.
Just curious about practice for the upcoming weekend. I know that some
