Hi folks

Having spoken to Finsbury Park and got them back on track, I took a
trip up there last week. The pitches there have never been great, but
this year they're flippin' awful (and that's before the sun's had a
chance to really beat down on them).

It certainly doesn't seem worth giving Haringey a pile of our cash for
almost unplayable facilities (believe me, I played on one of them on
Wednesday. Not funny).

Plus, it looks unlikely that we can get the potholed but flat
"reservoir" pitch twice a week this year, because aussie rules players
are determined to sprain their ankles on it.

So I'm working on trying to secure one of three other possible North
London venues.

This is delaying the start of summer league this year. Hopefully I'll
have more to tell you later this week.

Please be ready to get your entries in very quickly once I announce
things officially (which I can't do until I know where we're playing).
Make sure you have enough players. I'm well aware we need to start
asap, so there may only be a week between announcing things, and the
first game!
