Hello,

On Thursday August 13th, the London Summer League will see its Cup Final
played under floodlights on Tooting Bec Common. This is an ambitious project
which is designed to give the London Summer League the midweek final it has
been crying out for in the past. Portable floodlights are being brought in
to ensure the light isn't a problem and afterwards we will be presenting all
trophies and having a bit of a drink in The Bedford in Balham. We have
reserved a function room, got some DJs and it's all looking good for a
summer league send off.

Please put the date in your diary. A lot of effort has been put in to create
the type of final people have been requesting. If people turn up to watch
and make it a real event then it is something we can do every year and in
doing so guarantee a big summer party for the London ultimate community.
There is no cost to attend so please come along and support/heckle.

We'll be running a mini tournament on the same night as well for all summer
league players so there should be a good amount for everyone, whether you
fancy playing, watching or both. We may charge a nominal entry fee for the
mini tournament with all procees going to charity. We'll send out more
details about this nearer the time. Then it's back to The Bedford for a beer
and a dance.
