Happy New Year all!
Any ladies out there who’ve set themselves a New Year’s resolution to:
1) Get Fitter
2) Play Harder
3) See more of the world
If so, how about doing all of this while becoming a better ultimate player?
If that sounds good to you, why not try out for Iceni and Iso, the two teams
which comprise the top women’s club team in the country! We would love to
welcome everyone to come to our trials which begin in February. We’d like
to extend an especially warm welcome to those girls who think the level of
the club sounds a wee bit intimidating – you’ll be pleasantly surprised to
find out we’re a lovely bunch who just happen like our ultimate! Oh and
students too - we would love some more enthusiastic students and juniors in
the club! All we’re looking for in return is commitment to practices
through the season and a desire to play great ultimate.
What’s the difference between Iceni and Iso?
Iso came 5th in the Tour and at Nationals. It is a competitive and fun and
social team. This year Iso will be attending the Tour and Nationals, as
well as going to at least one European tournament.
Iceni came 1st in the Tour and at Nationals, and 2nd at Europeans. Compared
to Iso, it is more results-driven but just as fun. Iceni is planning to
attend the Tour, Nationals, Europeans and possibly also do a trip to North
America to challenge themselves against the strong competition there. Iceni
aims to be a serious title contender at World Clubs next year.
We are running open practices at Battersea for only two more weeks. Either
come along to one of those and talk to a captain or sign up to trials.

have any questions.
