Forwarded from Dan Berry... who sent it to the wrong list!
For info, to keep the [lwl-contacts] list membership 'fresh' we will today
(approx 11.30am) be culling all contacts that subscribed pre-September 08
(you should get a little 'Goodbye" email if you're culled). If you're a team
contact that needs/wants to be on that list, please follow the link in Dan's
email below and re-subscribe.
Thanks

Subject: [lwlc] Winter League - Gender Splits.
Winter League draws ever nearer so just a quick update on some vital info.
Can team contacts PLEASE sign up here.
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/lwl-contacts/
This will save me spamming the whole of London in the future. DO NOT ASSIGN
JUST ONE PERSON PER TEAM TO THE LIST. Because people go on holiday and so on
and then teams don't get the information. Please get at least two people per
team to sign up. If you are no longer a contact and are on that list then by
all means take yourself off.
The mixed split will be as follows.
Division 1 - full mixed. 3/4 women on the line. Offence chooses.
Division 2 - 2/3 women on the line. Offence chooses.
Division 3 - 2/3 women on the line. Offence chooses.
However, we recognise that this may be short notice on these splits and so,
only in division 3, we would ask teams to be understanding at the first
winter league if the opposition only want to play two women on the line.
With women's ultimate taking off in London currently (three new teams at
tour last year) it should be easier than ever to recruit female players. The
aim is to make this mixed league a proper mixed league in the future, as the
top division will be this year.
If this ruins your preparation in any way then please drop us a line. If you
need extra women then use the London League forum, the London League mailing
list, introduce some friends to the sport, e mail the ISO ladies who are
running sessions at the moment for all abilities and are probably awash with
ladies new to the sport. Basically get active and recruit! I can help with
this if you are stuck. Drop us a line.
Please sign up to the contact list. That would be great. You'll need to if
you want to know what is going on. Oh and if you haven't enered by now, it's
cutting it fine. Couple of obvious teams missing so get in touch before it's
too late.
Cheers,
Dan.
LWLC.
