The story behind: A chap called Dave, one of our Fugazees, is doing his
"Dave's year of fundraising" for Shelter. He's challenged himself by
committing to at least 1 event every month, so back in January while we were
all finishing off the Christmas chocolates, Dave started off with a 12-hour
bike ride around the M25. Since then he's ran several 10Ks, crossed the
Three Valleys on skiis (and no lifts!), more cycling, some sponsored
partying and a comedy night before trying his hand at a triathlon (Olympic
distance no less, done in 2hrs 24min!). As a warm down after the tri, he's
going to run the Berlin Marathon next month. And do a duathlon.

Of course the rest of us on the team do feel a bit impressed with all that
he is doing and would like to contribute. So a conversation starting with
"lets organise some friendly games on the common" ended with what we like to
call "The Fundrazees Tournament". So on the 18th October we will be hosting
a one-day tournament in London for teams of all abilities were all the
profit goes to Shelter.
Tournament: The Fundrazees Tournament
Date: Saturday 18th October
Format: Loose coed, fun but competitive.
Location: London, pitches TBC
Party: Oh yes, but TBC.
Cost: £50 per team, but as it's for charity anything more you can raise in
your club will be welcome!
Register your team by 19th September, payment due 3rd October. Please get in
touch for payment details.
Any questions? Fire them through.
Cheers,
Dave, Heather and Hildy
