Hi - final details below about entry to event1 of this year's LWL. Those team
contacts who have previously contacted me about entry will have been sent a
direct email earlier today, this one is a last call for any other teams thinking
about entering!
We have 32 teams who have expressed an interest in event 1 (Sunday 18 Nov). Some
spaces are still available – the entry deadline is Friday 9 November. Your spot
is only confirmed when the money receives us!
Payment
Entry fee for each event is £60 per teamA discounted rate of £200 is available
for teams that pay up front for all 4 events (this guarantees entry to all 4
events, see below on entry information)Please send payment to the details below,

The confirmation email should include: team name, division entered, event
payment is for (eg LWL1, LWL1-4 etc), team contact and details of bank account
payment is coming from. If paying online, please ensure your payment reference
includes your team name. Apologies that many teams have already sent some of
these details, but it’s going to make the admin easier if we have all the
information together.

Wellesley Road, Strawberry Hill, TWICKENHAM TW2 5RS. Please send a confirmation
email to the above address AS WELL AS including the requested details with the
cheque.
In case of over-subscription, teams will gain entry to WL events in the
following order of priority:
teams that enter and pay for all four events up frontdate of payment received
for individual events (ie you can pay for future events NOW)committee
discretionPlease be warned that there will be NO REFUNDS for teams that drop
out! Once you have paid you are expected to play. Any teams that do dropout will
automatically be placed in category 3, although teams that have paid for all 4
events upfront will be reimbursed if they fail to secure entry to future events
due to numbers (ie – Team X pays for all 4 events, plays Nov but drops out of
Dec. They will not be refunded for Dec and will be placed at the bottom of
priority for Jan and allocated a space if there is room. If there isn’t room
they will be refunded for the Jan event and the process will be repeated for
Feb).
Mixed Division
Following feedback from some teams we have decided to go with a staggered
approach with regards to implementing moves to the full tour mixed split in
London Winter League. For 2007/08 the split will be:
Div 1 will be minimum 3 womenDiv 2 will be 2 or 3 women (decided by offense,
existing WL rules)Div 3 is minimum 2 women (summer league rules)As always, teams
can agree between captains on the day to play to more strict mixed rules, but
the above is the minimum requirement for each division and teams should only
agree to playing by other rules if they are comfortable of doing so. Also, teams
will only be promoted to a higher division if they are able to conform to the
required mixed split in that division.
