It's a pet peeve of mine and, frankly, why I get annoyed when people
say that umpires are no different than the people who run the
concession stand.

What other volunteers need to buy uniforms, pay to attend training,
and then LL comes along as says "for $25 you can access the rule
online."? What a crock, frankly.

If I wasn't a paid umpire for HS/College and didn't already have all
the uniforms and stuff ready to work, I wouldn't be a LL umpire. I
have never paid for a shirt with a LL patch on it, for instance. I
have some, but they were all given to me and those are the only ones I
have.

For a hard copy call the Western Region guys at 909-887-6444 - they'll sell you copies of the rule book. They were very quick to get them to me when I ordered...
