After 4:1 at home and 1:1 away today, Levski Sofia is awaiting the
next challenge for the UEFA Cup as the only representative for
Bulgaria at this stage.
The rest of Bulgarian teams this round were eliminated in dramatic
matches. CSKA made 3:3 in Sofia with Blackburn, but the English side
moves on after the 1:1 draw the first match, and Litex scraped to
extra time, scoring a goal for 0:1, and tying the series in the dying
minutes of the match in Athens vs. Panathinaikos. The Greeks went on
to win the match with 2:1 after extra time.
