Topic: Lenda speaks in July issue of Flex and Flex says she will go   Message List

There was a small article about Lenda Murray in the July 2005 issue of
Flex on page 59. Lenda told Flex that "I looked at photos of past Ms.
Olympias and realized how far beyond the pale things have gone. I am in
total disagreement with how the Ms. Olympia contest was run in 2004. "
She will train with Charles Glass this summer for the Ms. O this fall.
She also said "I have some strong opinions about what I think
bodybuilding is for both men and women. The body has to be beautiful.
Too often when I see today`s women bodybuilders I think `when did your
brain stop talking to you? You are a mess. This is female bodybuilding?
` God made women and men and if a woman looks like she can compete with
a man she confesses to taking an anabolic substance. I compete to
demonstrate what women`s bodybuilding should be and it is not about
being bigger or having more ripped glutes. Fortunately the IFBB issue a
decree that there must be a 20% reduction in muscle mass. They play my
game now."
