In three consecutive games that were held this week, Team Lebanon
has won all its initial matches in the Asian Nations Cup against
Kazakhstan, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan. A great performance thus far
with a much younger national team. Consistent perfoprmers quoted as
highest scorers are Sabah Khoury, Rony Fahed, Ghaleb Rida and Joseph
Vogel.

However next round doesn't look as rosy. Now that the Asian
contenders are down to 8 from the initial 16, one of which will
incidentally qualify for the Athens Summer Olympics Basketball in
2004, Team Lebanon finds itself in a real tough group that contains
in addition to us, China, Japan and India.
