Eduardo Rodriguez, who debuted for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1973 and later pitched for the Kansas City Royals died today on his 57th birthday.

“Un día como hoy nació en Barceloneta el lanzador Rodríguez”, dijo Santiago Villanueva, dirigente deportivo de la región norte, al anunciar el fallecimiento del ex atleta.
El cadáver de Rodríguez será velado en la funeraria Eterna Luz de y será sepultado el domingo en el cementerio viejo de Barceloneta, en una ceremonia que se iniciará a las 2:00 de la tarde.
“Volanta”, como se le conocía en el béisbol, fue lanzador en el torneo superior de los Antesalistas de Cataño y Atenienses de Manatí.
En 1971 fue firmado por el buscador de talento “Fellé” Delgado para el equipo de Milwaukee, con el que obtuvo 38 victorias y 35 derrotas.
