Ramon (Gonzalez) Hernandez, who debuted for the Atlanta Braves in 1967
and went on to pitch for the Cubs, Pirates and Red Sox before leaving
the majors in 1977, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Puerto Rico.
The AP story (in Spanish) was datelined Ponce; however, I was told
that he died in Carolina. The article makes it clear the body is in a
Carolina funeral home and there is no information on the burial.
