Subject: In loving memory of RUBEN VALENTIN, Fox
Sports Network Broadcaster SAP, former San Francisco
Giants broadcaster
Our beloved brother in broadcasting Ruben Valentin
passed away in his native Puerto Rico, this past
weekend Jan 08, due to respiratory failure.
The medical report stated that Ruben Valentin had
received a flu vaccination in Los Angeles prior to his
traveling to his hometown in Puerto Rico.
On Dec. 28, 2007, soon after arriving there, Ruben
Valentin was admitted to the hospital for emergency
treatment.
Unfortunately, Ruben Valentin did not survive the
aggressive nature of the bacteria that had invaded his
system.
As you may well know, Ruben Valentin with a
broadcasting career that extended more than five
decades, was the sports baseball anchor for the SAP
portion at Fox Sports Television Network.
Ruben Valentin has also served as the official play by
play announcer for the San Francisco Giants Spanish
language Radio & Television broadcasts.
The Baseball community has lost one of the best
talents in broadcasting.
I, as his Fox Sports Network ( SAP ) co-anchor in
behalf of my co workers Cos Villa, Angel Torres and
the Latino sports broadcasting community can tell you
that Ruben Valentin, will be remember as a great
professional brother for years to come.
His audience will missing greatly.
