Cepeda arrested on drug charge

Former San Francisco Giants first baseman and Hall of
Famer Orlando Cepeda was arrested by the California
Highway Patrol in Solano County after officers found
drugs in his vehicle, authorities said Wednesday.

Cepeda, 69, of Fairfield was driving his 2001 Lexus
west on Interstate 80 between Highway 12 and
Interstate 680 near Cordelia at about 3 p.m. Tuesday,
when CHP Officer Amy Mulata clocked him traveling at
83 mph in a 65 mph zone, said CHP Sgt. Wulf
Corrington.
