It was not my intention to denigrate Clemente's achievements, and I wholeheartedly agree that comparing Clemente to Robinson shouldn't be the point. But one question bears asking: Are Latino baseball players better off in terms of cultural understanding than when Clemente was playing? I wish I could answer yes but there are too many examples to cite that indicate the answer is no.
