I'd like to know more about the circumstances behind Bithorn's death. And I'm curious about the discrepancy between the previous place of death and the current one.
Thanks,

The latest newsletter reflects changes to the official database now showing Mexican State (Estadio) data to the Place of Birth and Place of Death fields for over 100 ballplayers. He also corrected other discrepancies in the process. Hopefully we'll see this information incorporated into other databases, ie baseball-reference.com, mlb.com, and more soon.I don't know if Galo is a subscriber here, or if he even speaks English. I notice that the Date of Death and Place of Death has been changed to reflect better information than had been previous known about his mysterious death.Previously: Died January 1, 1952 in El Mante, MexicoNow: Died December 29, 1951 in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico.Bithorn is a pioneering figure in Latino Baseball history and his story is an important one. It's time that the whole truth of his tragic death be fully known.Rod Nelson
