For those of you interested, one of our members Kit
Krieger runs Cubaball Tours, a tour group that heads
to Cuba for a couple of weeks each year. In the grand
scheme of the Latino baseball world, visiting a place
like this is paying homage to the early pioneers of
Cuban baseball history.

We have some new dates for the Cubaball 2005 Tour.
February proved difficult for a number of reasons and
our plan is now to travel to Cuba from March 24-31.
This means that we will be in Cuba for the playoffs.
Our visit coincides with the semi-finals that feature
the four top teams in the Cuban league.

We have also added a visit with Eddi Martin, Cuba's
Vin Scully. Eddi has been the voice of Cuban baseball
for more than 50 years, spanning the pre-revolutionary
and post-revolutinary baseball era. The tour will
include visits with Conrado Marrero and historic
baseball sites in the Havana area.

The best news is that we have been able to hold the
line on prices. The package price is $1999 from
Toronto and $2249 from Vancouver. The package
includes return airfare from these Canadian cities,
accommodation in four-star hotels, breakfasts,
admissions to games, air conditioned bus with
Cuban guide and translator, and Cuban tourist card.
Not included are meals other than breakfasts,
gratuities, beverages, and a $25.00 departure tax.

We need 15 persons to confirm our plans. The group is
capped at 25, so please let me know soon if you think
