Vaclav thanks for the info, but I called Performance free diving a few
months ago and the only offer 2 classes a year in Malibu and the next
one is not for another 8 months. I pleaded and told them they should
offer more classes in Malibu as the class usually sells out at least 6
months in advance, but I never got a reply. As far as FIT I called and
spoke to Stephen and they don't offer classes in Malibu, they only Host
the PFI classes as mentioned above. So basically for entire Southern
California location you have 1 spot that only offers 2 classes a year.
Personally I think you should open shop and start teaching classes even
if they are taught in the ocean to begin with. I for one would be all
over the class and have a list of guys that would also be interested in
training. I'm not a concerned about learning from a record holder as
much as I am learning at all, and right now I'm in the water often with
very little to no training (including night diving). If you ever
decide to fill the void and teach ocean based classes I know a nice
place in Redondo that could be used a "meeting place" just a few steps
from the water ;)
