Tommy Lasorda was on the radio this morning and I was bummed to not have been
able to hear the
whole thing. Anyway, he was talking about how there are four guys who are
capable of hitting 20
homeruns next season and he named Jeff Kent, Nomar Garciaparra, Luis Gonzalez
and a surprise,
Andre Ethier. I thought he would have named Wilson Betemit as the fourth guy
but he named Andre
instead. I personally think that Kent and Nomar will hit 20 and Betemit will
too if he plays
everyday and that Ethier and Gonzalez will hit at least 15 and hopefully Martin
and Furcal will
hit at least 10. If Pierre hits one, I think it would be an inside the park
homerun.

Another thing I was not aware about and it has to do with an ex Dodger,
Guillermo Mota, who has
a 50 game suspension to serve for his positive steroid test. I knew that he was
a free agent and
I really did not think that any team was going to sign him but I guess I was
wrong as the Mets did
sign him, I don't know when but I think it was right after the World Series to a
two year 5
Million Deal! Needless to say I was very surprised! Did anyone else know this?
