See you tonight!
I am actually planning to go up to Tussey Mountain for their Tussey Teaser tomorrow morning. Here is some information:
June 30: Tussey Teaser #5: Bear Meadows Made in the Shade, 7 or 10.6 Miler. 8:30 AM. Econo-race (free), door prizes. Two single loops with the same start and finish at Bear Meadows Natural Area. run 7.0 or 10.6 miles, you choose the distance! Race app, course map, and directiosn available here (PDF). Questions, e-mail info@....
I'm not sure if I am going to do the 7 or 10 mile option. You can check out the details at www.tusseymountainback.com.
Tara (possibly Emily as well) and I are doing an early morning run on Saturday.
We are meeting at Tudek Park at 5:30 a.m. and plan to run to Scotia (and then run around Scotia for most of the time) and then run back to Tudek. We plan to run around 2 hours total. Feel free to join us!
Sorry, I don't think I can make it. Thanks so much for the invite. I so wish I could have made your party the other week. I was in California at a training conference otherwise I would have been there with bells on.
Just a reminder that July 2nd (just one week from tomorrow!) is our
opportunity to get together, in clothing other than running attire,
and send Rebecca off on her new adventure in true Creamery Running
Group style. Please make sure it is on your calendar for 7pm. The
contribution of a small appetizer or dessert to share with all would
not be turned away. I'll provide the sangria and other options for
imbibing. I can't guarantee all my painting projects will be
completed, so bear with me if the powder room has a "redecorating in
progress" sign on it :)

A reply saying you can come would be appreciated but not necessary.
See you soon - Happy Running....
Kathy
Tara - and anyone else - would you be interested in running Shingletown (meeting at the base off of Mountain Road, off of Rt. 45)? I just ran from a different direction the other day and saw a few new (to me) trails to hit to make a fun loop.
The thing is...I need to start early...I would prefer starting at 6 a.m. (I know, it's the weekend!)...but I could start as late as 6:30.
I was thinking of running the Crack O'Dawn 5K, but after my miserable experience at the track yesterday, an early long run is sounding more appealing. Did you have something in mind? I'd love to get out on a trail or up to Tussey...
Tara
PS Happy Late Birthday to Teresa and Happy Early Birthday to Liz!

I'm new to the group and have not met those of you who don't run on Tues
and Thurs, but I thought I mention to everyone that a friend and I are
planning a run on dirt roads and trails starting at Whipple Dam this
Sunday at 7am. We'll probably go about 1.5 hrs. Since I
have been doing some talk about the Megatransect (thanks to the
gentle urging of Beth), I'd better get my act together and start doing
some distance...on trails!
If you'd like to join us meet at the parking area on the left as you turn
into Whipple.
Kristy - did you get my email about the cookout/outdoor movie night this
Sat? I've told Kristy about my cute single male friend from New
Zealand (GREAT accent) and his various rugby buddies (some also single)
who all complain about the State College dating scene for guys their age
(early 30's most). My friend told me to invite anyone I wanted,
especially attractive single women...so naturally I thought of
Kristy! And maybe there are others in the group that I don't
know?
Ok Kristy, I promise to stop pestering now. Just wanted to make
sure you knew about it.

Maybe you should plans to do something else, like meet a friend for
coffee. If you like you can come
to our house and have breakfast with our family!I’m totally serious. We will be up and eating by 7:30 – which is the time you would probably
be going for a run – so come over!Keep in mind we have 2 toddlers, so I can’t guarantee it will be
relaxing or tranquil.In fact – I CAN
guarantee that it WON”T be.JLet me know –
we’d love to have you.

Hey Gina, Yay, thank you so much! I plan on getting to Liz's around 10:30 and will stop by your place right after that, around 10:45? Hope to see you Saturday! Best, Kerry
I have some stuff for your yard sale. Do you know where I live? Our
address is 314 Adams Ave.It's
only about a block or so from Liz's house.Adams is the street behind Liz's street and we live one
block west of her. What time do
you think you'll be here?If we
are not here – I'll leave everything on our picnic table in the back yard – so just
walk to the back and you'll see it!But I hope I see you on Saturday.J
Hey Ladies,
I am doing a garage sale pick up extravaganza Saturday morning beginning at
10am. I will be picking up things at Beth's house and Liz's house and will be
happy to stop by your place if you have anything you would like to get rid
of. (Rebecca, you don't really want to pack all that stuff, do
you?....just kidding)
Hope you are all well and look forward to sweating with you soon,
Kerry

Ok, at Rebecca advice, I am sending this out to the group in hopes that
it will help me follow through with it. My goal tomorrow (friday) is
to NOT run in the morning and take a rest day. My ankle/foot has been
bothering me for a few weeks and lately it has been really painful.
So...if show up tomorrow morning at the creamery, PLEASE, PLEASE,
PLEASE just tell me to go home.
I don't know why this is so hard for me...it kills me not to run! :(
Thanks ladies!

Kristy, I think that is a great goal and I support it so much that I will join you in NOT showing up at the Creamery tomorrow morning!
Rest days are hard for me, too, but I just keep reminding myself that one rest day now is better than a whole bunch of forced rest days after an injury.
Enjoy your rest and I hope to run with you again soon!

Bidding bon voyage to a running buddy
Rebecca's family is in full swing getting ready for their
move. But
before she leaves we have to send her off in proper Creamery Running
group style! Please set aside the evening of July 2nd to have a girl's
night at my house. Time to be determined but you can assume early
evening, after dinner. More details to follow but get it on the
calendar! I can't guarantee that my painting projects will be finished
by then so I may ask you to ignore the 3x3 squares of paint colors on
the walls :)
