If I am going to run the Nittany 1/2 I better get in a longer run this Saturday.  Anyone want to join?  Â
I will plan to run to Webster's on Aaron and meet folks there at 6:30 AM and then run past Webster's again at 7AM to pick up anyone else and run until 8 AM. Â
Hope to see some of you at 6:30 or 7 on Saturday...

Hi, I can make dinner for Jaimie on Monday, Dec 7. I am not sure where she lives though, so if you can send her contact info and address, that would be great! Also, any allergies or food preferences for her family?
If you can stay for an hour or 2 to help with Lee during the day, that would be great. If you can just make a meal, that's great too.
This gives everyone lots of notice to pick a day! Let me know - or the group know so we don't get any overlap - then I'll put the schedule out by the end of this week.
THANK YOU!!

Thanks ladies! And thanks for the chocolate milk - it was a delicious treat after I finished.
My mom ran a 5:23 last year and had what she thought was an ambitious goal of 5:10. I was waiting for her around mile 25.5 and she came through with a big smile and way ahead of pace. Running my fastest Richmond was great, but running part of that last mile with my mom was even better. She finished in 5:03, and I think she's well on her way to qualifying for Boston when she turns 65 (she'll need a 4:45). My grandma saw us both on the course but was too excited to congratulate her finishers to wait for the last runners.
Despite rain all day Thursday and Friday, the weather was pretty good on race day. There was a pretty stiff wind on the bridge between miles 15 and 16 but it was cool and overcast. As usual, the gloomy weather couldn't keep the spectators at "America's friendliest marathon" away, and the bands along the course were a lot of fun.
YAHOOO! way to go Tara! Just keep shavin those minutes off...how was the weekend/ Did your grandmother wait until the last marathoner finished?? How was your moms race??!! how sweet to run and celebrate with your family-lucky you! Keep up the fun!Â
A belated congrats to Tara who ran her fastest Richmond marathon (she's done quite a few of them) this past weekend in 3:36! And congrats to her mom who ran a marathon PR there. She will be joining you in Boston sooner than she thinks!
Congrats, Tara! That's an amazing time. And congrats to your mom!
