If he can just keep the players healthy (our biggest deficiancy the
last two years), this team may go far. I know the preseason doesn't
mean anything, but a 2-0 record--with both wins against the Komets--
is a reason for optimism.
New coach is great!! He used to coach my hometown team, Missouri River
Otters. I''ve heard nothing but good things about Mark. You guy got a great
coach!!

There was a great article in the Gazette yesterday regarding the new
coach. I am starting to get excited about the new season. It would
be awesome to get the team to the playoffs this season and then to
win the cup.

Here's the link to the Wings' schedule on the UHL's site:
http://www.theuhl.com/cgi-bin/team_schedule.php?QnTeamID=9
Looks like we got Fort Wayne in the preseason again. :-\
I have been a fan of the wings since 1995...went to pretty much every
home game. Since my dad passed away in 1999, I have hardly been to
any games and I miss that. I am looking for the schdule so that my
husband and I can plan on going to some of the games this year. We
are already planning on making it to a lot of games.
If any one could help me out I would really appreciate it.
Also, maybe a list of the players that we have this year. Only if
that is possible.
Again if you can help me out I would really appreciate that.
Thanks
Sara
Ok so the Kwings are not doing so well.. hey they won Sunday..
What happened to all the loyal kwings people??
Yeah I guess you have finally realized this is not the same hoackey
as we had during the Dallas Stars days... well at least come to a
game or two to show your support, I dont wanna read letters to the
editor crying about no hockey in Kalamazoo in the future.. I guess
the next season is still on.....OK ive said my piece.. If any of you
are still living out there.. COME TO A KWINGS GAME NOW
PLEASE.......... thx KG
I have missed a few games because I was in Florida but I did get to
see Tampa Bay play Edmonton and it was pretty exciting! We had
seats in the upper level where all the players looked like ants and
some promotional guy gave us complementary tickets to sit up in
front and we got to see the game just a few rows from the glass. It
was a close game and neat to see NHL action so close. I don't
remember seeing any former KWings on either team but there might
ahve been a few. I know there were a few ex RedWings on Tampa's
team. I hope to get back to see some KWings games soon! How have
they been playing? Any improvements? I hope they beat Quad City!

Ok after Saturdays slam by a certain fan about my stars jacket,
which I didnot wear to Saturdays game.. It is STARS.. not rats as you
seem to think.. We did have much better hockey in Kazoo when the
Stars had theirfarclub here.. I can tell you miss them because of the
posts on here.. So here weare stuck with the team we have.. complain,
criticize, or whatever you wish to do. But please dont cut down
the STARS for leaving Kazoo.. It was going to happen no matter what..
And above all.. come to the games and support the team we have
now..What i see at the games are more and more empty seats.. Sure
the team is having bad luck, but it was just the weekend before
when we won 4-0.. Those games can and will happen.. amen.
Remember all Veterans on this Veterans day.. Nov. 11, 2002
GO STARS GO KWINGS...
Former K-Wing Richard...make that Ric...Jackman was just interview on
TSN during the intermission of the Leafs/Bolts game. He's now
playing for Toronto...the graphic under his name said "Ric Jackman"
On the name-note...the brother of former Wing Scott Langkow, Daymond,
plays for the Pheonix Coyotes...he followed his brother's example and
changed the pronounciation of his surname from Lang-Cow to Lang-Ko

After looking at the standings after last night's games, I should
change my question to: "Will we finish ahead of _anybody_?" We're
last in the league. It appears the K-Wings didn't inmprove much in
the durability department--their biggest shortcoming last year.
Playing only 14 of their first 39 games at home won't help either.
Maybe I'm too optimistic...

After Friday's game with Muskegon, I don't think you have to worry
about hosting a playoff game. I think your biggest worry is "is this
team going to be able to finish the regular season"?. The way
they "played hockey?" Friday, I rather doubt it.

Good Point!
Hey folks,
I really enjoyed the game on Saturday even though we lost. It was
awesome to see everyone again. I saw some great talent on our team
and it was great to see several Kalamazoo guys on the team too.
What does everyone else think about the team? I hope we have a UHL
Championship this season :)

They looked good. Lots of hustle. We had a few fights on the ice that
helped to inspire the fans. I think we are in good shape.
Once you get used to the nets, you forget they are even there.
LET'S GO KALAMAZOO WINGS.
