Don't forget that Friday Dec 21 is a special
Chrsitmas happening at Wings Stadium. The team will be
wearing special Chrsitmas jerseys. They are a white
jersey with Chrsitmas lights around the bottom and a
couple of other holiday features. They will be auctioned
off after the game in the lobby of wings stadium. The
starting bid will be $150.00. Whata great Chrsitmas
present for the Wings hockey fan in your house.
Well Wings fans we did it again. A record 842 stuffed animals hit the ice on
the 14. I am trying to find out if that is a UHL record or not. Way to go K
Wings fans!
Glad to hear that you are going to be able to make it to the games. I thought
maybe you moved and were going to G.R. for your hockey fix. Ha ha<br><br>We got
out skated and lost Sunday. :(
If some of you have noticed, I have missed
several games lately due to other comittments but I am
glad to say in the next couple of weeks, I can go to
at least 3 games!!!! I am in serious hockey
withdrawl and can't wait to see our guys win! How did
Sunday's game go? I like to hear first hand reports. How
was the Christmas Dinner? I hope everyone has a
wonderful holiday season and see you all at the next few
games :)<br><br>Michzoo
It sure was nice to see the players help round up
the bears! That has always been the special thing
about hockey players at this level. Can you imagine
baseball players (or NHLers for that matter) getting on
their hands and knees and bagging up toys!
Congratulations K Wings fans! There were more stuffed animals on the ice last
night than last year. According to the paper Mr. Decker was very impressed with
the support of the the community.
Hope to see everyone at the game tonight for the
second annual teddy bear toss. Lets try and beat our
record of over 700 stuffed animals tossed on the ice
last year. Also it is the first team poster giveaway
of the season.
I was just wondering what kind of food do they
serve at the dinner? Is if a buffet kind of thing with
several choices or is it served to you? I know we talked
a little about this at the meeting but I wasn't
feeling real good so I think I only comprehended half of
it. Thanks.
Okay, well... Gordie Howe came out, dropped the
ceremonial first puck and shook hands with Jim Brown. Jim
then went on to get 3 goals and 2 assists.
Coincidence? At any rate, his first was 28 seconds into the
game and we never looked back. We won 6-2 and Benny
had three fights, all of which he came out on top of.
On that note, I'd like to ask if anyone saw or heard
Sunday's game. I know Benny got in a fight, but was it
with that giant guy? And, if so, did he win? And how
did Hughes and Sergei do in theirs? It was bout
weekend for the Wings, and I'd like to know if we kept up
our good showings.
I ended up in Detroit yesterday (saw the outside
of Joe Louis Arena at least) so did not see the
game. Can anyone give me details? How was Gordie Howe?
Did he get a good crowd? Did we play well? Anything
exciting happen? Details, details please! <br><br>Michzoo
Yes they do have kind of a voucher system. Find
any booster club member, we are doing a fund raiser.
For $10.00 you get a voucher for a ticket good for
any game the rest of this regular season, any seat in
the house. If interested stop by the booster club
table tonight.
Hockey tickets make great gifts too :) I don't know if they have vouchers/gift
certificates this year but what a great idea to get someone to see some games
this year!<br><br>Michzoo
If you haven't bought your Gordie Howe bobble
head doll yet, your time is running out. $49.00 will
get the the doll and an autograph from "Mr. Hockey"
Gordie Howe. He will only be autographing the dolls and
nothing else. These are a limited edition. The doors open
at 6:30 PM and that is when the signing will start.
ALSO STOP in the HOCKEY OFFICE and take a look at the
new Kalamazoo Wings hat. It is red, with the logo on
the front, adjustable with Kalamazoo printed across
the back. For $18.00 it can be yours. These hats are
ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE HOCKEY OFFICE and will not be
sold in the stadium. Look for two more hat designs
coming next week. What great presents for the hockey
fans on your Christmas list. Hope to see everyone
tomorrow night. Go Kalamazoo Wings!
As most of you know we will be changing from
yahoo.clubs to yahoo.groups. This should give the club more
options for us to use. We don't have to make any changes
and they say our current url will work. Everything
will be automatic. If you have questions, check the
link at the top of the page.<br><br>Michzoo
Alain O'Driscoll was released from the Jackson Bandits of the ECHL.<br><br>Jeff
Scharf was traded from Arkansas ECHL to Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the
ECHL.
I saw this on the in the crease forum. The
Kalamazoo Wings attendance is up 30.29% from last season
with only 8 home games so far. We are #2 in attendance
increases. Elmira is #1 with 52.79%. The UHL champs Quad
City's attendance is down. Way to go KALAMAZOO WINGS
FANS! Keep up the good work.
I just logged on here to ask the same question. Ha Ha. Do we have great memories
or what? Guess it's a good thing I own a jersey so I can look down and remember
what team I'm cheering for.
They did announce the winning number, right after
it was brought to the announcer. If you don't hear
it, the winning number is always posted by the
booster club table during the 3rd period. You can also go
into the hockey office and ask them. I'm not sure but
I think someone did win it.
Hey, did anybody else notice that they didn't
announce the winning 50/50 number at the game Thursday?
Or, if they did, I didn't hear it. If it was
18907-18912, let me know. A moral victory if nothing else, I
guess.<br><br>PS - I love this beating Muskegon thing. Let's keep
that up, yeah?
This is a pretty cool article. If I'm reading
this right, our attendance is up 30.29%. Not bad
concidering all thats going on in the world today. I'm going
to attempt to post the link on here but if I screw
it up the article is on In The
Crease.<br><br><a href=http://www.inthecrease.com/future/index.html
