Cam Severson To 25-Game Tryout Contract<br><br>
Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Press Release<br><br><br>
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks announced
today they<br>have signed left wing Cam Severson to a
25-game tryout contract.<br><br> Severson, 22, has
appeared in 46 games this season for the Quad
City<br>Mallards of the United Hockey League, scoring 22 goals and
26 assists for 48<br>points with 129 penalty minutes
and a plus-18 rating. He has also played in<br>eight
games this season with the Portland Pirates of the
American Hockey<br>League, going scoreless with 11 penalty
minutes.<br><br> A third-year pro, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound
Norquay, Saskatchewan native<br>appeared in 63 games last
season between Louisiana and Peoria of the East<br>Coast
Hockey League, scoring 19 goals and 10 assists for 29
points with 160<br>penalty minutes. He was originally
the San Jose Sharks sixth choice, 192nd<br>overall,
in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.<br><br> Severson is
expected to report immediately to Cincinnati and
be<br>available to play Friday when the Mighty Ducks host the
Syracuse Crunch, top<br>affiliate for the NHL San Jose
Sharks, at 7:35 p.m. at the Cincinnati Gardens.
