Yup, that's 30 competitive eating/IFOCE related articles in
the "Files" section (easily accessible by clicking the little tabby
to your left). These were culled from a number of print and online
publications, as well as several academic databases (just honing my
journalistic research skills). You can see them online, without
having to download them or nothin'.

I don't really expect anyone (well, anyone who's not as IFOCE-
obsessed as I am) to wade through all this, so here's a quick
rundown of some of the more notable articles:

Most Poignant Article: AP Wire 09-13-02. Article about a
festival's return to New York neighborhood after September 11.
Krazy Kevin gets to be all deep.

Most Repulsive Article: New York Post 07-05-02. Takeru Kobayashi's
judge at 2002 Nathan's contest describes how he sucked regurgitated
hot dogs up his nose. Very, very, gross, even by competitive eating
standards.

Funniest Article: The Square Table, ??-??-02. Very funny article
about attending a boozed-up Burrito Snackdown, meeting Badlands
Booker (what a charmer!), and getting (accidentally) physical with
Bernie Getz. The author gets Kevin's name wrong throughout the
piece, referring to him as "Krazy" Kevin Tracey.
