I know this is a volleyball website but do any of you volleyball
players also play soccer? If so and you would like to play some 5 on
5 soccer (mini field), let me know, I need some players.
Suzanne
If Any body has any tickets to the
UNC-Villnova and NC State-Wisconsin
games in Syracuse, and would like
to donate them to a worthy cause, ME,
they would be appreciated.
Peter.

Hope everyone enjoyed (or at least survived) the winter that definitely overstayed its welcome, but with the sun now out and hopefully here to stay, the countdown to outdoor season 2005 has officially begun.
We're less than a month away from our first King & Queen tournament of the year (April 16th). Our brand spanking new website redesign has the complete tournament schedule, along with more volleyball information and features than you could ever imagine. Check it out at www.vh1vball.com and let us know what you think of the new design and features.
We'll also be breaking in a new points system for 2005 that is similar (but better) to the indoor USAV points system used this year. Complete information on the new system is available on the site.
Other upcoming tournaments: WCVC - April 30th, K/Q #2 - May 14th, Reverse Co-ed May 21st.
Looking forward to seeing everyone out at Baileywick in April, and to all those headed to Asheville for the weekend, have a safe and enjoyable trip...
You have been invited to join vh1vball's Private Group in Yahoo! Sports Yahoo! Sports Tournament Pick'em.
In order to join the group, just go to the game front page and click on the "Sign Up" button to create a team. After completing registration, or if you already have a team, click the "Create or Join Group" button and follow the path to join an existing private group. Then, when prompted, enter the following information...
Group ID#: 23704 Password: goheels
The commissioner of this group has sent the following note: -------------------------------------------------------- hola kids!
happy st pattys day. remember. stay away from the non-green beer.
i thought i'd open up the floor for the rest of you to get beaten down by my superior ncaa tourney picking skills. just use this group and password to play along and see how you compare to the best.
your picks need to be in before the first game start tomorrow
on an exciting side note, get ready for an update to the website by the time hi neighbor gets here this week-end! keep your eyes on the website, it's gonna be swanky
good luck and don't feel bad about getting beaten,
Thought I'd pass this along. It is the repsonse I got back regarding entry into the campgrounds for The Digs this year.

The website does state that this tournament is a private event. You are supposed to have a ticket to get into the tournament. In order to get a ticket you would have to be on a team. Does that clarifiy things for you?
There is a rumor floating around that anyone not on a team roster will not be let into the campground; however, I don't see anything on the site or registration form that confirms that. It seems to be the same as it is every year.
Hi All,
We are looking for female players for our spring indoor team at Lake
Lynn.
The league is a coed "B" league on Tuesday and Thursday nights (varies
week to week).
Practices start in two weeks and the league starts the second week in
April.
Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions.
Thanks,
Chip
two more teams sign up. There are currently two teams signed up,
but the center needs at least 4 teams to make a viable league.
The matches will be played on Monday nights from March 28 through
May 16, with a tournament to follow.
If you're interested contact either Julie or Kristen at the Jaycee
Center at 831-6833 before the end of the week.
I can't believe that there aren't at least 4 additional women
itching to play some outdoor volleyball as badly as I am.
I moved to Raleigh from Seattle in August for grad school, and have
been meaning to break into some volleyball circles here- but have been
waiting for spring to roll around. Is there anybody out there
interested in spring beach vball at Jaycee that is looking for another
player?
I'm probably silver division (but have never played in city leagues
before and don't really know for sure). I like a good competition
from time to time. I enjoy 2's more- but as I don't know anyone-
would be happy with either 2's or 6's. I played libero in div 3
college (so like the defense) but have randomly set and hit at times
too. Coed or womens? It doesn't matter to me.
If this catches anybody's eye, I'd love to hear from you.
Liz

Opps, sorry guys, in my excitement I forgot to mention when the
party is. It will be this SATURDAY Feb 12. Cant wait to see
everyone.
Sorry for any confusion
Torrie
PS. Feel free to pass this on to anyone. All are invited and
definetely welcome
Oh yeah, its that time again...and no I am not talking about that
dreaded "love" holiday that we all wish did not exist. Rather, its
time to celebrate the birth of both the finest male and female
specimens EVER to step face on this earth (can you tell I am
desperate for an ego boost) You guessed it...Torrie Crabbs and Mike
Davidson are once again celebrating their birthdays. And as always,
we would LOVE for all of you to come join us, the more the merrier.
So, I know this is a little last minute, but for those who know me,
its only fitting. And you may thinking be thinking...isnt it a
little sad that you are planning your own party...well, yes, you are
correct, it is a little sad...all the more reason to come and help
us celebrate.
So, enough rambling...here's the juicy details...for those who are
interested, we will be meeting up at Southend Brewery in Raleigh
around 8:00 for dinner (if interested in attending, please send me
an email, so I can make arrangements...tacrabbs@...) and for
all the rest join us between 9:30 and 10:00 at Southend for a tasty
beverage. Dont worry, we dont intend to spend the entire evening
there, its inevitable that Southend will not be able to handle the
craziness we have to bring ( I know how you vball folk like to
party), but we figured it was a nice central place to start. More
than likely the party will be moving on eventually, exactly where
has yet to be determined. If you know you cant make by 10 or so, and
wish to kept informed of where we will be, just send me your cell
#'s and I will give ya a ring.
Anyway, its a guaranteed good evening. And for those of you who
joined us last year in our celebration, Mike and I have decided to
try to actually make it past midnight before we get kicked out of
the bar, however, we cant promise how long past.
Hope to see as many of you as can make it!!!
Torrie Crabbs and Mike Davidson
The Spring leagues start at Rays Elbow Room in April. We could use a strong team or two for Thursdays coed sixes. Check out www.raysvolleyball.com or email raysvolleyball@... for info.
Just thought I'd send out a reminder that signups for the indoor
leagues in Cary are in a couple weeks. They're probably the best and
most organized indoor leagues in the area and are worth checking out.
There's a bunch of different divisions for various skill levels and
have men's, women's, and coed divions.

I might need a couple of players to play on my team. Play is on
Monday nights 7p, 8p or 9p at Ravenscroft High School. Games will
start this coming Monday evening, January 24.
If you are available and interested in playing, please let me know.

Hello Area Volleyball players,
Is anyone looking for a winter volleyball league? I've got one for
you that plays on Monday nights. We've got an 18-team capacity for
our 7p-10p slot and only about 12 teams registered so far. Rather
than bring in my dodgeball league to fill the extra hour, I thought
I'd first throw it out to you guys as an opportunity to join in our
co-ed rec league (silver & bronze) or, if there's enough interest,
I'd be happy to host a competitive level (silver/gold) league. The
extra hour a week can be used for any capacity you'd like, if you
just let me know that you have a team/group who is interested.
Otherwise, you're welcome to sign up as a group, team or individual
for the existing co-ed rec league. League info and registration
forms are located here: http://trissc.com/volleyball.asp . League is
open to all (club members and non-members) and no non-member fees
apply this season. Please let me know ASAP. Any Qs- E-
Danny@... or call the Social Club office at 293-0105. League
is scheduled to start this Monday, but I can always start a
competitive league staggered 1 week later. Let me know what works
for you!
THANKS!
Dan Lefebvre
TRI SPORTS
Is anyone playing Indoor Volleyball with Tri Sports on Monday's? If
you need a girl let me know, looking for a team. Otherwise, if
anyone is interested in playing let me know. Deadline is this
Friday, January 14.

...to find a new roommate!!! Yes, it's true. Due to circumstances
beyond my control, my roommate of 2 years is moving out. (She fell
in love, and he's buying her a house!! Can you blame her??) So, I
am in need of someone to take her place. I own my home in North
Raleigh and would be looking to fill the upstairs. You'd have your
bedroom and the bonus room above the garage for your living area,
private bath, one side of the 2-car garage, and access to the spare
bedroom for guests if you so desire. We share the kitchen and
dining room. I am close to I-540, between Creedmoor and Six Forks.
You would have to be a non-smoker, no drugs, and like animals (these
are non- negotiable!!) If you have an animal or two, they are
welcome!! Rent is $400/month+ 1/2 utilities, which average about
$150/month, depending on the time of year. It will be available on
or around Feb 1st, but if you need something sooner, we could work
something out.
So, if you (or someone you know) is looking for a place for the
new year, send me an email at bsatr650@..., or call me on my
cell at 919-623-1930, and we can talk in more detail.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!!
