RE: [kqvolleyball] Final Reverse Co-ed of '06

Just when you thought it was safe to lower the nets … Its another lone guy, desperate for a female partner to participate in this tournament.

How can it be that Derek doesn’t have a partner? Put it down to poor planning, the congruence of several bad astrological events, or the mistaken expectation that Troy would actually retire following his defeat last week (not to mention the publication of his very popular “hitting into the net” video). Also, my regular partner dogged me to go pick up guys at some beer festival. I hate it when that happens.

My 2006 summer record demonstrates solidly average performance. I lost last months’ Cure tournament in a playoff round to Barry (who was ON FIRE!  What the hell was he doing playing Silver?) so really, this was like getting second place. Could it be that I just need the right partner to make it to the top? Being especially photogenic all I really need a few additional wins to be featured on the front page of next month’s “VH1Vball Rev Coed Superstars”. Know that my only goal is to set you up for complete and total domination of the courts. We will celebrate wins and encourage each other to overcome temporary adversity. Victory dances after especially hard won points (or cheap shots that take our opponents completely off guard) are encouraged. But please … no wagering.

RSVP directly for this fantastic opportunity! A/Silver preferred; Open level play will require additional cheating, extreme trash talk, and the violation of several local ordinances. Or for Linda L. to dump Oguz and pick me up.

Happy Monday!

We're going to go ahead and stick with the original schedule and this Saturday will be the final reverse co-ed of the season.  This format has really taken off this summer and will probably be huge next year!

In reverse, everything is played on a women's height net.  There's a 3 meter attack line on the grass and only the women can hit from in front of the attack line. The women are the only ones that can block as well. It's a lot of fun, especially for the women!

If you haven't tried it out yet, give it a shot this week-end.  Sounds like the weather is gonna be ideal...

have a great week!

PS. In case I missed anyone for the Halloween party evite, or your email filtered it out as spam, the annual Halloween Bash is gonna be Saturday, October 28th and we're moving it downtown to Pantana Bobs on Hillsborough street. This link should take you to the evite http://www.evite.com/app/publicUrl/vh1vball@yahoo.com/halloween06  lemme know if it doesn't work for you.
