First of all, I want to wish everyone a safe and happy New Years' Eve! Hope Saturday night is a blast for you all! My goal is to make it to midnight this year and I'm feeling pretty confident that I can make it.

King & Queen news & notes
We've added a new member to the K&Q staff, Brian McKay. Brian is gonna be working with us to improve the tourney experience. Brian served as the president of Vermont volleyball during the mid 90's and has worked on some HUGE tourneys up there. We hope he can bring of that excitement to Raleigh. We're lucky to have him with us. So far at least

One of the most exciting new things for the coming King & Queen season is that we're going to be
running Sand tourneys here in the Raleigh/Cary area. We're hoping to run 3 or 4 sand tourneys this season, trying now to co-ordinate around the other tourneys in the Greensboro/Raleigh area. We know we can't schedule around everything but we'll do out best.
We're also planning to become affiliated with AVPNext which will qualify members for a discount on AVP products, including a free AVPNext T-Shirt, and possibly allow you to earn points towards their season ending National Grass Championships. On the Sand side, there will probably be a State championship at the end of the season with the winners earning a bid into an AVP qualifier. More to come on all this later.
Have a great day!
Vaughn
