We're the home of North Carolinas Original King and Queen grass doubles volleyball tournaments. We'll be using this group to promote volleyball in general and keep you aware of indoor/outdoor volleyball happenings in the Triangle and all over North Carolina, including, but not limited to:
- Tourneys
- Leagues - Open Gyms
- Players wanted/available
The '09 grass doubles season here in the Raleigh area has come and gone. This year saw the Reverse Co-ed tourneys continue growing like wildfire and we hope they keep getting bigger! Between the Reverse Co-ed tourneys and North Carolina's original King Queen grass tourneys, you have something for most everyone's tourney taste. The Juniors sand tourneys really grew this season (be sure to get your Junior players signed up for the 'vh1vballjrs' yahoo group email list) and will probably just keep getting bigger now that beach volleyball is being added as a collegiate varsity sport.
We saw a name change to our charity event with the "4th Annual Spike for a Cause" Event. We played this year's event in honor of Rusty Lurwick who passed away in January from cancer and all proceeds went to the Colon Cancer Coalition. The participants numbers were down slightly from last year but the money raised went up! We also added a Friday night get together at Buffalo Brothers and an afterparty at Napper Tandy's that will hopefully become yearly traditions.
Hi Everyone, My name is Ashley and I am looking for a team to play with for the upcoming 4's tourney on Nov. 14th. I'd like to play AA sand, but am willing to
