Yesterday I entered the Vaujany

Oege Hiddema, who won it a few years back,
decided to have a go of it alone from the very
first climb. I heard that at one point he was 10
mn ahead of his nearest followers.

However, in the end they reeled him in, just a
few km before the finish and he ended up being
5th.

But he told me he really enjoyed his epic ride
over le Col de la morte (Alpe du grand Serre),
Ornon, Alpe d'Huez, and the wild Col des Sarenne.
