I have always used a series of maps by Kummerly & Frey. These are also
called the Touring Club Italiano maps. There are done in a 1:200000
scale and have the same since feature of the Michelin yellows where
percent gradients are indicated with chevrons of > >> or >>>
I have one in front of me now. It is called "Trentino-South Tyrol". The ISBN
number is 3-259-01223-0.
FWIW. When I rode the first Dolmites trip with Breaking Away bike tours
they issued us Xeroxed copies of these maps each day.
