The Marmotte is not always on the 1st week-end of July.
It was already as late as July 9 in 1983, 1988 and 1995.
In 2000 it was held on July 1st, the earliest ever i believe.
It was a surprise for me as i feared the traffic on that day would be
horrendous. The normal range of dates seems to be July 2 to 9th.
