If a fit triathlete means a winning triathlete then you will do fine.
If not, then do try to do a few long climbs between spring and
summer. In any case I recommend that you put in at least
one "practice" randonneur event beforehand - there are lots of ways
you can blow a race like Marmotte even if your training is perfect.
Try out your planned bike, breakfast routine, clothes, climbing pace,
nutrition stragegy u.s.w. Something about a month earlier with 3600m
total climb would be ideal.
