Well, I have applied, but as you may know, the online registration was
a disaster. The site was besieged with with more applicants than it
could handle, and the system went into chaos. Many people couldn't get
onto the site to pre-register. In the interest of fairness, the
organizers decided to choose all of the Italian entrants (which I would
normally be) by lottery. Fearing this possibility, I had already
decided to pre-register with my US address (having homes in two
countries can be handy!). I haven't received any confirmation so I have
no idea whether I'm in or not. I've ridden it the past two years, and
am hoping to return. It's an incredible experience.
