Re: [kitesurfalaska] Re: KiteFest 2009

Tha inflatable does have a wooden transom to mount an outboard to.  It says the max hp is only 4 hp, but you could probably put the 10 on it and just run it slower, I can't believe the motor weight would be too much of an issue.

I'll try to drop a tidebook in the mail for you if I see any about, I haven't picked any up yet though.

I can't find the shop online or in the acs yellow pages either, but I'll listen for the number on the radio or try to drop by there sometime.

Jeff,
Thats strange and cool there is a shop there in Anc. i cant find them
online, do you have a web address or phone number?

Ben, can your inflatable boat take an outboard. does it have the wood
back to mount it to?

im glad you guys are on boards, thanks for the offer to help out. i
may need it.

One thing i did want to get squared away is the date. here are some of
the considerations: the earlier in the summer, the better the wind but
also the cooler. later in the summer the wind peeters off a little but
everything is greener and warmer. we want the tides to be low between
1pm and 6pm, about. we would like as many kiters as possible be able
to come so im trying to figure in fishing seasons. bristol bay starts
the end of june and i know a few kiters missed the event last summer
(june 20th) because they went to bristol bay. does anyone know exactly
when those guys usually leave?

If anyone wants to send me an 09 tide book, i would appreciate it.
