Sub: Sports Evangelism Ministry Partnership:
In reference to the above mentioned subject, Africa Youth Ministries Uganda
is writing to request for used sports equipments e.g. Soccer Balls, Cleats,
Shin Guards, Soccer Uniforms, Netball balls, netball uniforms, socks, sports
canvas etc. Requested sports equipments will be used in our "Sports
Evangelism/Tackling AIDS Through Sport Program". For the last one year, Africa
Youth Ministries Uganda, has been implementing the above programs reaching the
out of school young people with both AIDS Prevention messages and the gospel as
well. We have found this program very penetrative in reaching the out of school
young people. Through Sport as an entry point we share the Abstinence, Purity,
and evangelism messages. Through this approach we have seen many young people
committing their lives to Christ & signing the Abstinence pledge cards. To

In brief, Africa Youth Ministries Uganda is a Child and Youth focused & Faith
Based Non Profit organization operating in Uganda to implement projects and
programs that address problems affecting young people, registration number
6068.
Similarly, our major hindrance in reaching out to these young people is lack
of sufficient funding, to sustain this program. We have the following needs:-
· Funds to buy sports items & uniforms see www.aymu.org/kick or
www.aymu.org/wad.html Funds to coordinate the program e.g. Transport &
communication, Bibles & gospel tracts in local languages, because they out of
school some cannot read English www.aymu.org/schevangelism.htm , We need a
sound system, sometimes the youth are very many and we cannot shout for them to
get the messages, We also need funds for our skills training program in arts
and crafts which is also attached to our sports programme.
We will be most grateful if through your Sports/Youth Ministry Department, you
will consider partnering with us in serving the most vulnerable segments of our
