March 2007
BikeWalk Virginia is pleased to announce our new Event Director, Marc Sartori. Marc is a 2001 graduate of the University of Richmond with a BA in Health. He will graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters of Science in Sports Leadership in May.
Marc will "get his feet wet" as he joins us for the Tour de Chesapeake on May 18-20th. He will learn the ropes as we finalize the plans for Bike Virginia 2007. You will see him in many different positions on Bike Virginia - experiencing all the many facets of our event. Please join us in welcoming Marc on board. He may be reached at msartori@....
Bike Virginia 2007 Reaches Capacity We are pleased to announce that Bike Virginia has reached its capacity of 2,000 cyclists. We have created a waiting list for cyclists who missed the initial cut-off and have over 100 on the list. We have now discontinued the waiting list, as we do not want to keep cyclists in limbo for too long. As cyclists cancel, we will work our way down the list with replacement cyclists.
We are sorry we are not able to accommodate all cyclists wishing to join us. In order to ensure that we continue to produce a high quality event, we feel we need to keep our capacity at 2,000. If you have any questions about Bike Virginia, please contact Kim Berry, Tour Administrator, at info@....We look forward to June and seeing all our returning and new friends. We have many special activities planned - check them out on the web at www.bikevirginia.org/2007/.
