I have a friend who wants to get into mountain biking. He's 6'1" and 240 lbs. He's looking for a used 'large full-suspension' bike probably under $500. Might settle for the right hardtail.

It was great to see the Oklahoma mountain bike contingent out in force
this past weekend in Arkansas. Its always great to see familiar faces
out of state. Eureka is an awesome setting for a fat tire gathering.
Big thanks to the Ridilla family, Womack, and Melanie for the support
during the weekend's racing. Someone commented to me after the
downhill event that I had the loudest cheering section! Thanks!

I will not be there, but some of the guys are going to go out and see what can be done. We don't want to just cut the trees up. We are hoping to make a nice log crossing or cut a new trail around the BIG tree.

Osage Hills Mountain bike trail has two trees blocking the trail and is in pretty bad shape The flooding and all the storms did a number onthe trial. I have left the trees in place because I wanted to discourge people from going out while it was so muddy. It has been wet here in Bartlesville for a long time. Now that it is starting to dry out let's get the trail up and running.
Next weekend I plan to work on the trail(July 14th). If anyone would like to help me I will be in the parking lot Saturday at 8 and work until noon. I do have plenty of tools but bring your own if you want. We will be walking the trail and doing a general clean up.
White loop first and then red and blue. If we have time I would like to week eat a few places and of course ride after the work is done. so bring your bike.
We are having a small contest in honar of the TDF. If you can pick the top three overall finishers in the TDF you will win one "Lance Big Six" video from Adventure Bicycle Center. Go to www.adventurebicycl ecenter.com and click on BLOG for all the details.
We have a new podcast out too, so while there check out the "Oklahoma Bicycle Podcast' and try to figure out the puzzler.
I filmed the Texas races this weekend so be looking for that on "you tube" soon.
In just a couple of short weeks I'll be at Super week and I'll send back some great interviews and footage from the pro races.
Just trying to keep it interesting. ........ENJOY!

Someone turned in a single car key Sunday afternoon. It's on a ring with
a detachable connector. If you lost it, contact me here and describe
it... make of car, whether or not it has remote buttons. We'll make
arrangements to meet and you can bring the car to verify it's yours.

Remember the Wednesday night mountian bike adventure is tonight in Bartlesville. Once the doors close at ABC we take off from the parking lot (75 and Tuxedo). This is an easy pace ride with a lot of rest stops and fun techiques to work on along the route. Please wear a helmet! We travel about 10-12 miles around Bartleville, looking for fun streets and pathes to explore. Sorry road bikes will not be able to follow but cyclocross bikes are welcome. If you don't have a bike check with me (Randall) at 918 333-9222 for a loaner.
We are now giving an award for a bad crash The award will be past to the next ride who crashes, so don't crash... I am the proud holder of that award right now.....
I'm in the market for a used oxy-acetylene torch setup. I'm keeping my eye out everywhere else, I figured why not here. Preferably complete, including regulators, torch body, hoses and some tips. So if you have one, or know someone who might, or see one at a garage sale, or an auction, by all means let me know.
