Having problems with message search?
Got this from another biker. Not sure about the requirement to have a drivers license with yourself on the road as there is no legal requirement to have a drivers license nor age requirement to ride abicycle. Kids without drivers license ride bikes so what if they run a stop sign as Jones police claim, what would they do then? Hold the kid hostage until the parents came and got him or write the ticket to the parent. For those who ride in Jones, or anywhere, maybe we need to reconsider and stop.
I don't have a lot of opinion on this right now. I am just passing it on. I guess we all need to stop at stop signs for a while.

Just a word of caution about Jones. I was issued a citation (~$173) yesterday along with many other cyclists for doing rolling stops through stop signs. Officer said he had written dozens of warnings last week but for now on, cyclist will be given a ticket. The city limits extends many miles outside of Jones and they were watching on Hefner Road along with on main street. Not quite sure what their official definition of a stop is...but moving at 1-2 mph and pushing off with a foot is not their definition. Also be sure to give turn directions and carry a drivers license. Am checking into the drivers license issue.....this seemed to upset the officer most.
Also suggest to not question them....they called backup on one cyclist who was questioning what was happening.
Let your friends know....stop means a complete, two feet on the ground stop....at least per their interpretation.
