Re: [keystoneoffroad] How's Turkey and Keystone ?

Hi Glenn!
I stopped at Gallop and it out of this world. It was like no other place I have ridden. The huge  rock formations are wild. long trail too. A lot of rock climbers in that area too.
I will put Abq on my list for the return trip. Their trails are tough to find out about at the visiter's centers. So your info is very helpful!
I have been to Sedona before for some road riding. It is very Cool!
Amarillo, Tx hhhhmmmm haven't pass that yet.. Might have to check that out tomorrow.
Thank YOU!
Randall

Randall,

Albuquerque has  Cedro Peak, Otero Canyon 5-10min off of I-40.  Great single track stop at the Ranger station in Tijeras east of ABQ, they can help you out.  If you want more info email me back, and when I get home I will scan you some maps out of the guidebook--- very help full to have the maps.

My sister lives in Abq and I take the bikes out there whenever I visit.  If you had the time Sedona, AZ is well worth the visit.  Gallop, NM is supposed to be awesome, it is 1-5mins off of I-40. --never got the chance to ride there too much snow last Jan.

Amarillo, Tx has Palo Duro Canyon about 45mins off of I-40 well worth the time great single track, smooth fast buttery.

I am on the road back to Oklahoma today . I'll be traveling on interstate 40
Does any one know of one or two cool MTB trails (single track) not too far off the interstate?? ? Flagstaff? Holbrook? Albuquerque? Santa Rosa? then nothing until OKC?
I wish I had enough time to go to Moab.
