The Ravens taking on the run away league leaders away in Bedford on Saturday knew the opposition would be up for revenge being on the wrong end of a 56 to 16 points drubbing by Kent at PrincesPark a few weeks ago and that was the case. The match was close from kick off to final whistle unfortunately the Raven got on the wrong side of the referee and with a period of having four players in the sin bin the Tigers were able to stretch their lead. Tries came from winger Sean Franz from the second match in a row, Lee woollard, Matt Hayward, returnee from injury Constantine Hatzidakis and Phil Nicholls while centre Nick McPherson added the goals to give the Ravens 22 to Bedfords 28, though with the ravens in total control and a full squad on the pitch if the match had been 10 minutes longer the score would have shown a different story.
The Ravens next home match is scheduled to be a big one, with the Dartford festival across the road on the same day, fellow Princes Park occupants Dartford FC playing the night before and the Ravens on the brink of making the Play offs a massive crowd is expected, for more information please see kentravens.co.uk
You could have been forgiven for not recognising the Kent Ravens Squad on Saturday, after 30 minutes of the match the Ravens were Five tries down, it had seemed the three hour trip to Norfolk had got out of their system and the new-look Saxons side were able to outpace the Kent side down the flanks on numerous occasions, but thoughts of a come back as grand as Ravens vs. Southampton a few weeks ago came to mind as the travelling team gain two tries from hooker Jeff Luland on the stroke of Half time, but with a mammoth score of 46 – 10 against them at the half time whistle blow this looked like a massive hill to climb.
It was a different side that emerged for the second half and the Ravens gained the upper hand early on by dominating the centre of the field and tries from Elliot Blackmore, two from inform Manbir Mann and a stunning play in the corner from winger Sean Franz while Darren Griffin added three conversions meant the side from Princes park took hold their heads up as they won the second half but still were on the wrong end of a 54 to 30 defeat as the Ravens’ away days blues continued

Kent Ravens 56-16 Bedford Tigers
When the league leaders came to town many were predicting a close run game that could go either way. However after a scintillating performance from the Ravens, the Tigers were never really in the game. The Ravens ran in eleven tries and totally dominated the match from start to finish.
The match started at a fast pace and the Ravens scored in the first five minutes through a try from Andy Reeve. The Tigers then scored a try against the run of play to take the lead. The lead was soon regained though through another try from Andy Reeve, and almost immediately Andy Reeve scored again to secure his hat trick. Aiden Oakley kicked the goal to make the score 14-6 to the Ravens. At this point it looked like the Ravens might run away with the game but the Tigers showed some fighting spirit and scored a second try to make the score 14-12. Just when the game looked
like it was becoming a tight and tense encounter, skipper Aiden Oakley burst free to score a try and then kicked the goal.
Just before half time, Joe Oxford took the game by the scruff of its neck and scored two quick fire tries, with Aiden Oakley kicking both goals to make the half time score 32-12 to the Ravens.
The second half continued mainly in the same vein as the first half but the Ravens were even more in control of this half as the Tigers began to tire. Andy Reeve scored his fourth and fifth tries of the game either side of a try from Tom White, with Aiden Oakley adding four more points with two successful kicks at goal. With the score at 48-12 to the Kent Ravens, the Bedford Tigers scored their third and last try of the game which was scant consolation for them.
Tom White then scored his second try from another burst through the Tigers' defence, and Josh Madden completed the
scoring on his debut after being put clear.
So the final score was 56-16 to the Ravens, and some people commented that this was the best performance from a Kent Ravens side in years. This win made it three wins on the trot for the Kent Ravens, who now have three away games on the spin before coming home to Princes Park Stadium on 19th July at 2.30pm against the Eastern Raiders.

This win made it three wins on the trot for the Kent Ravens, who now
have three away games on the spin before coming home to Princes Park
Stadium on 19th July at 2.30pm against the Eastern Raiders.
It did not look good for the Ravens twenty minutes into the match against fifth placed Southampton Spitfires, they were down by two ties already and had not been anywhere near the opposition try line and worse was to come when the visitors found scoring at ease second nature to rake up a tally of twenty points with five minutes until half time when on the sound of the referees whistle the Ravens were able to bag a consolation try for their efforts in the half when Manbir Mann went over for his first try of the season, but heads were down at the teams headed for the changing rooms.
The Kentish side emerged from a grilling by head coach Kenny Bell for the second half looking like a different side, tactics were changed and the ball was kept with the Ravens until an opportunity to use the wide spaces came available and this produced so fantastic rugby to watch and the crowd of 131 were making themselves heard and they sensed some special on the cards, when Kent got the momentum with three quick tries from winger Chris Bolton, Stand off Tom White and centre Nick McPherson and the Raven took to lead for the first time 22 – 20.
Southampton never looked out of the match as they replied with a powerful burst down the middle to add another four points to their tally, unlike the first half this actually spurred the Ravens on and with only ten minutes left to go they got themselves a distance in front with tries coming from Joe Oxford and again from Nick McPherson while captain Oakley added both conversation with a sound display with the boot, Raven up by 34v24.
The Spitfires came back at the Ravens pack who could waste any time thinking they had this one and the points in the bag, as some how the travelling opposition got with two points of the lead again as Kent continued to be brushed aside with tackles that were to high, 34v32, Tactics came into play again as the men in gold attacked down the left side drawing in the opposition and giving debutant winger Lee Woollard the room to score in the right hand corner, but the conversation was missed to leave a nail biting finish with the Ravens up 38v32 and with only seconds left on the clock that seemed like a life time to on looking audience, Southampton shrugged off tackles to crash over under the posts for another try but luckily for Kent they missed the resulting kick 38v36 to Ravens.. The kick off came again and the Ravens held on for the last two tackles of the match with great tackling from full back Alex Hatzidiakis (Sponsored by Faithron Farrell Timms llp) to produce two wins in a row.
With this win the Kent Ravens cemented their place in the league end of season play offs for the title as they moved up to fourth, the winning on the day for the Kent club did not stop there as the under 14s also beat an experience Brixton bulls outfit 22 to 16.
Next Saturday will see the run away league leaders Bedford Tigers visit Princes Park Stadium at 2:30pm is what will be one of the biggest matches this season; can the Ravens continue their winning streak and get closer to becoming Champions? Tickets are only £5 at the Gate, we hope you can become a part of this historic season for the Ravens too.
A Kent Ravens side with several new players triumphed in an
enthralling contest at Princes Park Stadium.
The Ravens started slowly and went behind early on. This early score
seemed to wake the Kent Ravens, who upped the tempo, and shortly
after Tom White, a debutant, crossed the try line to level the
score. Richard Williams then scored the Ravens second try of the
afternoon. South London Storm did come back into the match, and
scored a second try of their own.
Then Ravens' skipper Aiden Oakley scored a try after a superb run
through the heart of the Storm. Another debutant, Andy Reeve then
scored the team's fourth try. Just before the end of the first half,
Tom White scored his second try on his debut. Aiden Oakley kicked
four goals in the first half to make the half time score 28-10 to
the Ravens.
In the second half the Storm came back strongly and reduced their
arrears but the Ravens were still looking very dangerous in attack.
Another debutant, Tom Spear scored the Ravens sixth and eighth tries
of the match, and in between these was sandwiched a try by another
new face, Steve Say. Joe Oxford, in his second game for the Ravens
scored a try to virtually seal the game for the Kent Ravens. Richard
Williams then topped off a superb afternoon for the Ravens by
scoring his second try of the match. Aiden Oakley kicked a further
three goals in the second half to make the final score 54-42 to the
Kent Ravens.
Before the first team took to the field, the Junior Ravens under 14s
team played against the Medway Dragons. Despite putting in a good
performance the Junior Ravens lost 40-16.
Kent Ravens next game is against Southampton Spitfires at Princes
Park Stadium in Dartford next Saturday the 14th June.

Kent Ravens RLFC put in a strong second half performance against the Eastern Raiders but just fell short of claiming a miraculous second half comeback. Having made a disastrous start to the match after conceding an early try, the first half continued in the same vein and unfortunately the Ravens entered half time having been unable to register a point on the board.
However, after a stirring half time team talk between the players, the second half started a lot more brightly with the Ravens looking like they might start a comeback. The first try of the afternoon for the Ravens was scored by Joe Oxford. This try gave the Kent Ravens a foothold in the match and soon after a second try was scored by Phil Nicholls. At this point the Ravens were dominating the match and it looked like the ultimate comeback was on the cards. Unfortunately the Raiders scored a breakaway try which seemed to spur them on again and deflate the Ravens slightly.
Joe Oxford capped a great display by scoring his second try of the match, and captain Darren Griffin kicked the goal to make the final score 48-14 to the Eastern Raiders.
While at the same time the Junior Ravens under 14's played their first match against Addington Lightning on Saturday for what would be Ravens' third match this season. After arriving at the pitch it soon became apparent that a win was what Ravens were hoping for, and that only hard work, commitment and teamwork would get them there. After a short delay the match begun, with Raven's receiving the kick off. After only 3 minutes Ravens made their first try; the first of many for the Raven's players. Tries from Rory, Paul, Matt, Charlie (C) and Chris enabled Ravens to lead at half time by 50 points to 6. The second half proved a similar scoreline, and further tries from those mentioned again as well as debut tries for Louis, Tom and Tom H further increased their lead. The match ended with the score at 94-6 to Ravens. A truly spectacular performance from players who had only recently begun to play Rugby League. All in all Addington were no match for a well disciplined and determined Ravens, who took advantage at every possible moment to regain or keep possession, in order to further increase the score. Every Ravens player showed fantastic commitment having only fielded the available 11 players, and still managing to win by such a vast margin; a real credit to the Ravens badge, showing fluency and skill at every possible moment throughout the match, also the under 13s went down at home to an experienced Elmbridge Eagles side 0-60
The Ravens are looking to get back to winning ways next Saturday (7th June) against South London Storm at Princes Park Stadium, kick off 2.30pm.

With a number of injuries to key ravens personnel prior an emotional match which will be remembered more for the hits and aggression rather than any rugby skills on displayed turned nasty after 20 minutes of the first half when one of the Bulldogs players suffered concussion from a powerful Correira run off his wing, though up that point the visit side from Essex were deeply in control as they pulled out a 36 vs. 0 lead as the Ravens failed to get started, though Forwards Gary Sargeant and Carl Morgan put in some big tackles to then get the ball back for the Ravens, it was left to Captain Oakley to or castrate a fine move down the left for debutant Nick McPherson to bundle of the line and add the first points of the match. The Ravens were clearly controlling the match but Hainault worked hard to keep Kent at Bay until the Half time whistle.
The second half was much for of a heated affair as tempers flared resulting in a sin binning for one of the opposition but it wasn’t enough for the Ravens even though another debutant Andre Karon was able to power his way over for his first try, the Ravens were still on the end of a 66 vs. 8 scoreline. This more the Ravens out of their second place in the league table but with it still early in the season hopes are high for the premier Kent club to turn this around and be back on top when they meet South London Storm back at Princes Park stadium on Saturday 7th June.
On the same day the Junior Ravens under 14s kicked off their Junior league season by taking on a big Brixton Bulls outfit, The under 14s looked dangerous every time they had the ball in their hands in attack using the forwards perfectly in the centre of the pitch then the back to race around the outside towards the try line, though a lot of work in defence mounted up for the Ravens and have a bad effect as the Bulls found holes and were able to produce a 40 vs. 22 score line.

On a day when the weather could not have been much more different to
last weekend, Kent Ravens secured a 36-24 victory over Norwich
Saxons in their first league game of the season. With it being a
very damp and slightly chilly day, the conditions were not ideally
suited to a free flowing game of rugby league.
The game was fairly even in the first quarter, and then the Ravens
started to get into their stride. They took the lead through a try
from Lee Amzeleg, and then extended their lead with a try from
Damien Izzard. The Ravens managed to score a third try in the first
half when Richard Hewes went over the try line. In the last 10
minutes of the first half, the Saxons had a mini revival and scored
a try a few minutes before the half time interval. This made the
half time score 16-6 to the Ravens.
The half time interval seemed to help the Ravens more than the
Saxons because an early score from Ewen Drummond calmed the Ravens'
players down and made sure that any hopes of a comeback by the
Saxons were dramatically cut short. However Norwich Saxons never
gave up and kept causing the Ravens defence problems, however the
Ravens always looked comfortable and in control in what was a very
assured performance. There were further scores in the second half
from the Ravens by Monish Shome, Stuart Leppard, and Damien Izzard.
Aiden Oakley kicked three goals, and Richard Hewes kicked one goal
to make the final score 36-24 to Kent Ravens.
Before the first team took to the field for their game, the Junior
Ravens U13s played their match against Farnborough Falcons on the
pitch at Princes Park Stadium. This was a fantastic opportunity for
the youngsters to get their first taste of playing at Princes Park.
Unfortunately the Ravens U13s lost the game 40-26 but it was a very
good performance and a very entertaining match to watch, and the
players seemed to enjoy the opportunity of playing within the
stadium.
Kent Ravens next game is against Hainault Bulldogs next Saturday at
2.30pm at Princes Park Stadium. This promises to be an explosive
match so why not come along and watch the action?!

The Kent Ravens kicked off their season at Princes Park Stadium with
a very entertaining 14-14 draw against Greenwich University in a
friendly, in front of 156 excited fans. The match was the first
opportunity for the players to play in this impressive arena, and by
the way that the players performed, it was obvious that they
thoroughly enjoyed playing in the stadium. Also the Ravenettes and
Junior Ravenettes got to show off their dancing ability before kick
off, and cheer the teams out onto the pitch.
The game started fairly quickly and Greenwich had the first chance
to score, however some good defending by the Ravens prevented any
score being conceded. Almost immediately after that scare, the
Ravens took the lead with a try from Stuart Leppard. Aiden Oakley
duly slotted the goal to give the Kent Ravens a 6 point lead. Even
with this deficit, Greenwich were not out of the game and this
proved to be the case when they managed to cross the try line and
reduce the deficit to 2 points. However the Ravens were determined
not to let the opposition get a stranglehold on the game, and the
Ravens took a 10 point lead into half time when their captain, Aiden
Oakley scored the team's second try.
The heat appeared to take its toll slightly in the second half, in
which Greenwich got themselves firmly back into the game. It started
brightly with Ross Bailey scoring a try on his debut for the Ravens,
which gave them a 14-4 lead. However Greenwich clawed their way back
into the match and snatched a draw towards the end.
Despite not winning, Kent Ravens go into next Saturday's opening
league match against Norwich Saxons in high spirits with a lot of
positives to take from this match. The match next Saturday is again
at Princes Park Stadium in Dartford with a 2.30pm kick off. The club
is looking to beat the attendance figure from the game against
Greenwich so why not come along and cheer on the Ravens?!!

In the last couple of weeks Kent Ravens Rugby League Club has
received a Kent County Council Member Community Grant. This grant
has come from the members of the Kent County Council for the
Dartford area. Each of the 84 county councillors can provide
financial support for projects that they feel will benefit their
local communities. In the past, the funding has helped a wide range
of projects around Kent, and this time it was the turn of the Kent
Ravens.
Three of the Kent County Council's members expressed their delight,
and reasons why they decided to support the Kent Ravens in this way,
`I am delighted to have been able to help Kent Ravens from my
Members Community Grant and hope the grant will go some way in
increasing the involvement of yet more young people in this exciting
sport!!' Christine Angell – KCC Member for Dartford East
`I hope that the grant is beneficial to the team in many ways, and
that it helps to create a team of good rugby players.' Bertie
Bassam – KCC member
`This is a great project, it helps local young people keep fit and
healthy, off the streets having fun and enjoying themselves.' Tom
Maddison – KCC Member
This grant will enable the Ravens to expand and develop as a club,
and will help young people to learn a new sport, and new skills.
Also on Thursday 17th April, Princes Park Stadium, and Kent Ravens
RLFC played host to one of the most famous trophies in world sport,
the Rugby Football League Challenge Cup. The cup, which is over 100
years old, was paraded on the pitch at the stadium, which will be
the home of the Kent Ravens in their upcoming season. People of all
ages got the chance to have their photo taken with this famous
trophy, and study the famous names of teams and players that have
won the trophy since its beginning, the 1896-97 season. Hopefully
it inspired the young and the more experienced players even more to
want to win trophies with the Kent Ravens this season.

There have been a couple of exciting developments at Kent Ravens
Rugby League Club in the last week.
Firstly, a great opportunity for all has arisen at the Kent Ravens,
the actual Rugby Football League Challenge Cup, which is currently
held by St. Helens after they beat Catalan Dragons 30-8 at Wembley
in 2007, will be on the Princes Park Stadium pitch at 11am on
Thursday 17th April for people to hold and get their pictures taken
with.
The Challenge Cup first took place in 1897 and has been a major
showpiece of the rugby league season ever since. Since 1929 the
majority of Challenge Cup Finals have been held at Wembley Stadium,
and in 2007 the first Challenge Cup Final was held at the new
Wembley Stadium where St Helens saw off the challenge of the Catalan
Dragons, who were the first side from France to compete in a
Challenge Cup Final.
This is a great opportunity for local schools, media, local sports
clubs and anyone in the local Dartford area to get close to a piece
of history, so please feel free to come along and take part in what
should be an historic day!
The second major development has been the announcement that a member
of the Ravens first team last season, Gary Sargeant has been offered
a Harlequins RL academy contract for this season. This is great news
for the player himself, and also for the Ravens as a club.
Gary was obviously really pleased with the offer and took the
opportunity to thank the people that had made all this
possible. "It's a Harlequins RL academy contract and it runs from
1st April – 30th September. I'd like to take this opportunity to
thank Ed Easter and Adrian Suter for all their guidance and support,
the Ravens for giving me the opportunity to play rugby league, and
my mum for all the travelling.
I wish the Ravens the best of luck for the season, and hopefully
this is going to be the start of a lot of things to come and one
day, hopefully will lead to me becoming a Super League 13 player."
Phil Jones, Player Performance Manager at Harlequins RL also
commented, "Gary has worked really hard during pre season and has
been rewarded with a Reserve/Academy Terms and Conditions
Registration (RATC) which reflects that we expect him to regularly
be in the 17 man squad on a match day. It is a great reflection on
his dedication with him being very new to the game compared to a lot
of the other boys involved. It also shows the good work that Kent
Ravens are doing that they have produced a player capable of playing
in the Gillette Champions Academy and I am sure he will be the first
of many"
The contract that Gary Sargeant has signed, an RATC, pays appearance
money and a win bonus, and runs until September 2008.

In their second match of pre season, Kent Ravens RLFC confidently
swept aside London Griffins RLFC at Richmond College. The match
started at a frantic pace which seemed to sweep both teams into
playing an extremely fast game of rugby league. Once the pace had
settled slightly the match turned into an exciting and action packed
spectacle. The Griffins were first to score when they slipped
through the Ravens defence, however they were unable to add the
additional two points from the kick. This early score from the
opposition would have unsettled some teams but on this occasion it
seemed to spur the visitors on. Once they had settled down, the
Ravens started to dominate proceedings. When the teams came off at
half time the score was 16-10 to the Ravens. The second half was
just as frenetic and exciting as the first half had been, and the
Ravens were completely dominating the match. There was good defence
and attacking play throughout the match from the Ravens and it
proved to be a good pre season workout for the team. The match
ended 40-10 to Kent Ravens with a hat trick of tries from Matt
Lowden, two from Paul Hyder and one each from Luke Bredin and Aiden
Oakley. Stand-off Thomas Claridge successfully kicked six goals to
complete the scoring for the Ravens.
After the match Kent Ravens' assistant coach, Michael James,
commented that, `In the last two weeks the team have had a couple of
tough games but they have come through them stronger as a unit and
are starting to take shape for the season ahead, which hopefully
will be a successful one.'

Members of Kent Ravens Rugby League Club attended the Dartford
Sports Awards on the evening of Wednesday 26th March at Princes Park
Stadium, to pick up an award for Charlie Whittaker, who was unable
to attend the event due to being away skiing. Charlie, a current
member of the Junior Ravens Under 14s side, won the Under 13 male
award at the event. He has had an incredible year which involved
playing with players that were a year older than himself, and also
helping to coach his younger brother's team at the Ravens.
Also this week the Ravens first team kicked off their season with
the first game of their pre season preparations taking place on
Saturday 29th March at Leigh Technology Academy in Dartford against
South London Storm. Despite the result, South London Storm were
leading 18-12 at half time, and eventually won 44-18, there were
many positives that the team could take from the performance. These
positives included Chris McNamara scoring two tries on his debut,
and fellow debutant Alex Frazer also scoring the Ravens' first try
of the match. Kent Ravens' man of the match was Tom Claridge, who
converted all three tries. The Ravens next match is against London
Griffins next Saturday at Richmond College, kicking off at 12 noon.

The youth section of the Kent Ravens Rugby League Club, the Junior
Ravens, kick-started their preparations for the new season with
their first training session on the 5th March. The session was a
huge success and the youth players that had played for the Junior
Ravens in previous seasons were very happy to get their rugby league
boots back on, and the players new to the club and the sport also
enjoyed the chance to play the game for the first time.
One of the squad's members from last year, U13s Half Back Mylie
Jones, summed up the feeling after the session perfectly, `It was
good to get back to playing rugby league again.'
The Junior Ravens training sessions are split into two sections. The

Last Saturday, members of Kent Ravens Rugby League Club attended the
second game of Super League XIII for Harlequins Rugby League. The
group met in London a few hours before the game kicked off, and
jumped on the train for the short journey from London to Twickenham.
Before the game the group went for a drink to catch up on the latest
news within the rugby league world.
Then having watched the match, which finished Quins RL 34-18
Wakefield Wildcats, the group headed to the Kings Bar in the East
Stand of Twickenham Stoop, the home ground of Quins RL. Whilst we
were in the bar, Mike `Stevo' Stephenson came in. For those of you
who do not know, Stevo was a Great Britain international, and won
the World Cup in 1972. He even scored a try to level the scores in
the final. He played for his hometown club, Dewsbury, where he won
the 1973 Championship Final against Leeds. He then moved to
Australia where he signed for Penrith Panthers, however having moved
overseas he did not play for Great Britain again after the World Cup
Final.
After his playing days had finished Stevo made a career for himself
in the media in Australia, before he returned to Britain to become
one of Sky Sports' experts for their rugby league coverage.
Whilst Stevo was at the bar having a drink many people wanted a
photo taken with this rugby league legend, and we did not want to
let the chance pass us by. Therefore we all got together and
gathered round Stevo, and had a photo taken of us with the big man.
The chance to see a professional rugby league team in action gives
the players and staff an opportunity to spend some time together
away from the training pitch, and get to know each other better off
the pitch.
The Ravens started their training for the new season at the
beginning of February, and the Quins games give the club days out
which help with team bonding. The Ravens train every Monday and
Wednesday at Leigh Technology Academy on Green Street Green Road in
Dartford at 7.30pm.

Rugby League is a sport that can be played by anybody and there is
no better time to start playing for the Junior Ravens than now! The
anticipation surrounding the new season, for both the Junior Ravens
and the senior teams, is growing by the day and everyone is looking
forward to the new season starting. Also with the rugby league
season being in the summer, it means that the sport is a great one
to keep you fit throughout the summer. Also, new skills will be
learned, it is fun and you'll make new friends.
Tracey Northam, one of the Joint Managers of the Junior Ravens
explains a little more, `Rugby league is a fast, action-packed game
and we are hoping to build on our youth sides' previous achievements
over the coming season. All you need to be is keen to join in, learn
new skills or improve on those you already have, so if you are 7 to
16 come along and give it a try we promise you will have fun and get
fit at the same time!'
The Junior Ravens are going to be playing in curtain raiser games
for the men's squad in the new season so therefore there is also the
chance to play at the very impressive Princes Park Stadium in
Dartford!
Tracey goes on to add, `And maybe like some of our other youth
players winning a place at the London origins training camp to
represent London. You will also receive a free season ticket for
Harlequins RL when you become a registered player.'
The Junior Ravens training sessions will start next Wednesday 5th
March at the Leigh Academy in Dartford. These training sessions are
split into two sections:
The minis (ages 7-11) will be starting at 7pm, and the Juniors (ages
12-16) will be starting at 7.30pm. Training sessions will then take
place every Wednesday onwards from the 5th March.
The Junior Ravens league matches do not start until after Easter but
there will be festivals for the young players to participate in, one
of which is likely to be hosted by the Kent Ravens, before the
league season kicks off.
So why not come along to a training session and give it a go, and
learn new skills and make new friends at the same time?!!

Ravens receive grant from The Kent People's Trust
Kent Ravens Rugby League Club has recently received a grant from The
Kent People's Trust. The Kent Ravens have received this grant
because The Trust want to invest in the Junior Ravens and youth
rugby league development in what is a traditional rugby union and
football area of Dartford.
The Kent People's Trust is a registered charity that has been
established with the support of Kent Police. The Trust helps to
provide financial assistance to groups that are working to improve
community safety and reduce crime in Kent.
This willingness to invest in youth rugby league development in
Dartford goes along with the aims of The Kent People's Trust. These
aims are to prevent crime and protect people and property from
criminal acts, and to advance education in all matters relating to
crime prevention, community safety, alcohol, drug or solvent abuse
or any matter affecting crime and disorder in the community. This
grant will help to give children in Dartford and Kent an opportunity
to take part in organised sport and learn a new discipline.
Hopefully the grant will also ensure that the Ravens can develop
more quality young players that will one day play for the Ravens
first team.
Also in partnership with Dartford Borough Council, 7 of the Kent
Ravens coaching structure successfully completed their emergency
First Aid training this week including Club Director, Vicki Bacon.
